Our Story
Started by a trainer. Built for learners.
In 1999, Microsoft trainer Dan Charbonneau began recording his lessons — so an engineer could learn between tickets instead of being pulled off the floor for a week, and come back to it six months later when the topic finally showed up in production. That simple idea grew into CBT Nuggets: approachable, expert-led IT training designed to make complex technology easier to understand and use.
We're still pursuing the moment that inspired Dan in the first place — the moment something clicks and a learner realizes, “I can do this.”

Our trainers are on staff. They work for us, not a marketplace. They combine real technical experience with a genuine ability to make difficult concepts understandable — and when a technology or an exam changes, they rebuild the course.

One library covers onboarding, upskilling, and certification for a whole team, with the reporting a manager needs to see it landing. And anyone on that team can learn at their own pace and come back when they need a refresher.
