For IT leaders
What IT leaders need to know before assigning this course
Manual network changes, ad hoc scripts, and inconsistent API practices make automation difficult to scale across Cisco environments. IT Directors can assign CCNA Automation (200-901 CCNAAUTO) v1.1 to network, DevOps, and infrastructure team members who need a structured path from Git, Python, and APIs into Cisco platform automation.
This is an intermediate, associate-level course with about 32.5 hours of training per learner. It fits teams standardizing automation practices, preparing staff for DevNet Associate-aligned skills, or reducing reliance on a few specialists for repeatable network workflows. Change management should account for hands-on practice time: learners move from source control and Python fundamentals into IOS-XE, Nexus, ACI, Catalyst Center, SD-WAN, Meraki, Webex, Ansible, Docker, and security API concepts.
For team rollout, Training Managers can assign the course through Playlists and use Team Reporting to track progress against onboarding, certification, or automation-readiness goals.
