What Is a Paid Course Enrollment?
A Paid Course Enrollment lets you purchase one specific course for yourself or others in your organization.
Here’s how it works:
- Purchase access to one course
- You have one year to start the course
- Once started, you receive one full year of access
- If you complete the course within that year, you unlock two additional years of access
Paid Course Enrollments are non-transferable and are tied to the learner they’re purchased for.

How to Purchase a Paid Course Enrollment
Purchasing for Yourself
- Sign in to your CBT Nuggets account
- Navigate to the course you want
- Click Enroll on the course page
If you don’t have access to the course, you’ll see the option to purchase a Paid Course Enrollment.
If you already have access to the course through an active subscription, you can enroll at no additional cost.
Purchasing for Someone Else (Admins)
Admins can purchase enrollments for individual learners or groups.
- Go to the course page
- Select Admin Actions → Enroll Learners
- Choose the learners or groups you want to enroll
- Complete payment or send the payment link to someone else
Learners with existing access will be enrolled at no charge. If a learner doesn’t have access, you’ll see the price before completing your purchase.
Billing and Payment
- Paid Course Enrollments are purchased through self-service in the platform
- Payment is required before access is granted
- If payment isn’t completed right away, an invoice is created and can be paid later by a billing admin or owner
When Does Access Start?
- Access begins after payment is completed
- The learner will receive an email confirming enrollment
- The learner has one year from the purchase date to start the course
- Once started, the learner has one year of access
Completing the course within that year unlocks two additional years of access to the course.
Pricing and Availability
- Course prices vary by course
- Some courses are only available through a membership and are clearly marked in the platform
Price visibility:
- If you don’t currently have access to a course, you’ll see the price on the Catalog and Course pages
- If you already have access, pricing will not be shown

No. Paid Course Enrollments are tied to the learner they’re purchased for and can’t be transferred.
What happens if I don’t start the course right away?
You have up to one year from the purchase date to start the course.
What happens if payment isn’t completed?
Access won’t be granted until payment is completed. An unpaid invoice will remain available until it’s paid.
Can I purchase enrollments for a group?
Yes. Admins can purchase enrollments for individual learners or groups.
