For IT leaders
What IT leaders need to know before assigning this course
Modern virtualization programs depend on network teams that can deploy NSX consistently, secure east-west traffic, and connect virtual networks to the rest of the enterprise without creating routing or firewall gaps. This intermediate VMware course is a fit for IT Directors, Training Managers, and Team Leads supporting systems admins with 3–5 years of cloud computing and virtualization experience.
Plan for roughly 34 hours per learner across NSX fundamentals, management cluster deployment, transport nodes, overlay segments, edge nodes, Tier-0/Tier-1 routing, external connectivity, firewalling, VPNs, load balancing, federation, and NSX Intelligence. For change management, assign this training before NSX rollout, expansion, or operational handoff so teams share a common deployment model and vocabulary.
CBT Nuggets can help leaders structure the rollout with Playlists and monitor progress with Team Reporting; where available, virtual labs and Practice Exams can reinforce hands-on readiness and certification preparation.
