For IT leaders
What IT leaders need to know before assigning this course
Project risk often becomes visible only after schedules slip, dependencies fail, or executives need an escalation path. IT teams complete this PMI-RMP training to standardize how project, program, and technical leaders identify, analyze, respond to, escalate, and monitor risk across high-stakes initiatives.
This is an intermediate course best assigned to Project Managers, PMO staff, risk owners, Team Leads, and IT Practitioners who manage delivery risk or support PMI-RMP certification readiness. The curriculum is roughly 30 hours per learner, with additional time recommended for exam review, internal process mapping, and applying risk practices to active projects.
For change management, IT Directors should plan for shared terminology, a common risk register approach, and stakeholder alignment around escalation thresholds and response trade-offs. CBT Nuggets Playlists can sequence team rollout, Practice Exams support certification readiness checks, and Team Reporting helps Training Managers track completion and adoption.
